Canonical support for RSSeo!

RSSeo! revision 12 brings two highly requested features: canonical support to solve the duplicate Joomla! content issues and the ability to generate the robots meta tag for each crawled page.

1. Canonical support

Joomla! has duplicate content issues: a single page can be accessed by users and search engine robots through multiple URLs.
Google has solved this issue by releasing the rel=”canonical” attribute, which allows webmasters to specify the preferred version of a certain page and place it in the head section of the non-canonical pages.

Joomla! Events

RSEvents! revision 26 comes with loads of new features and improvements: PDF tickets, bar codes, Offline Payment Plugin, custom wire transfer, new booking options and many more.

1. RSEvents! PDF plugin: Create pdf tickets with bar codes for your users

Subscribers are now able to download and print the purchased tickets sent by the event organizer as .pdf attachments. Just install the RSEvents! PDF Plugin and enable the pdf functionality from the "Events" tab » Ticket layout.

When the {barcode} placeholder is used within the "Ticket layout" editor, the plugin generates a ticket barcode, displayed inside the .pdf ticket.

Joomla! 1.5.25 and 1.7.3 have been released today with an important security update, which fixes several issues found in the password resetting mechanism.

We've updated RSFirewall! with Joomla! 1.5.25 and 1.7.3 hash files as well.

Both, Joomla! 1.5 and 1.7 users are advised to upgrade Joomla! and RSFirewall! to the latest versions and perform a new RSFirewall! "System Check".
