How to enable subscription confirmation in RSMail!
RSMail! offers the possibility to sent a subscription confirmation email to users who subscribe to a list. Here's how you can enable and set up that email:
- Head to Components >> RSMail! >> Settings >> Confirmation email
- Set Enable to Yes
The email's text is fully customizable. Aside from any HMTL code, you can also use the following placeholders:
- {newsletter}: Returns the name of the list the user has subscribed to
- {email}: Returns the subscriber's email
- {activationlink}: Returns an activation link. By clicking on this link, the subscriber will confirm his subscription to your list
The {activationlink} placeholder is mandatory. The subscriber will not be added to the list unless he clicks on the activation link.
