Performing a new installation

To install RSLens! on your Joomla! website, please take the following steps:

  1. Login into the Joomla! backend administrator.

    • RSJuno!

  2. On the top menu, select Extensions >> Extension Manager.

    • Click on Extensions >> Extension Manager

  3. Click Choose File and select the zip file you downloaded, then click on Upload & Install.

    • Choose File

  4. If the installation was successful, you should see the following message.

    • Install Success Screen

  5. You can now access RSLens! through the Template Manager.

    • Template Manager - Set RSLens as Default

Sample Data

RSLens! also offers the possibility (optional) to install some sample data to get you started. After installing the template as described above, please head to Extensions >> Template Manager >> edit RSLens >> Sample Data tab and click on Install Sample Data.

Important: For the sample data to work properly, you need to first install the following component and modules

After you have successfully installed the template, the Getting Started section provides the next steps.

If the installation produces any errors, check if:
  1. The archive you were trying to upload is not corrupted
  2. The archive is being correctly uploaded to your webserver
  3. The following folder permissions are correctly set: 755 for /templates and at least 755 for the configured Joomla! tmp folder
