Joomla! 1.6 support
There are more than 2 weeks since Joomla! 1.6 was released and we managed so far to update 7 extensions, including the today newcomers, RSComments! and RSFinder!.
The Joomla! 1.6 component list includes until now RSMail!, RSEvents!, RSFiles!, RSSeo!, RSFirewall!, RSFinder! and RSComments!.
RSComments! improvements
While updating the RSComments! source code for 1.6, we took a look at our TO DO list and added several new functionalities.
1. New placeholder in the "Notification message"
Besides {username}, {ip} and {link}, you can now use a new placeholder - {message}. This is available for the "Notification message" area.
2. New options in the “Configuration” tab
The “Configuration” tab has 2 new filter options:
- word length: lengthy words might mess up the comment layout, therefore, starting with rev. 6, RSComments! allows you to set the maximum word length in comments.
- nofollow attribute to comments links: you can set this attribute to notify the search engines not to pass PageRank to the linked page.
