In response to Paul Uhl's invitation, I had a presentation at Chicago's Joomla! User Group meeting this week about RSform!Pro offering tips and advanced usage knowledge.
This meeting was a great experience for me and I hope more so for the participants. I had the chance to see what the users standpoint is now and I had a great time assisting them with answers.
I can't wait to get in touch with other Joomla! user groups as well.
Joomla! User GroupsJoomla! itself is all about community and bringing people together - together forming and shaping the future of one of the most powerful and flexible CMSs out there. On an international level the Joomla! topic has a strong presence with meetings all around the world, as it should be, but local user groups are just as important in developing and adopting our mighty CMS.
It’s essential to spread the word at a local level as well. It’s important for individual users to get integrated in a community that can provide valuable assistance to newcomers and exchange ideas and solutions with experienced users. Sure, forums are great, but these don't compare with networking and some face time with others that share the same interest as you.
