Store anonymized IP address in database

Now we have to 2 choices to store IP addresses in the database: yes or no. Why not add a third possibility: anonymized IP addresses in the Google way? Because of GDPR you need a good reason to store the IP address. If you want to use them for analytics the anonymized IP address will be all right.
