Metrics in RSDirectory

by nsmit2 on 12 Feb 2020 15:55 | 539 Hits | 0 comment(s)

There is currently no simple way to obtain metrics (hits) on entried in RSDirectory. While it is possible to turn on hits as a setting in the Form, which in turn shows hits on an entry in the front end, to see traffic one then has to go through every entry and manually extract this data. The request is to provide metrics on the back end, so that when I look at all of the entries I can copy and paste the list or export to excel for the entire Form's listings. Or possibly even sort by hits by column.

The value of this is that it is possible to instantly see the value/traffic of a post, which ones are doing well, etc. It affords a site owner quick way to provide ROI for an entry submission, particularly on pay sites and of having a value proposition discussion with the person/organisation who created the entry. This is also valuable to membership organisations.

Additionally, where RSDirectory is being used for grant funded initiatives, it provides a simple way to report back to grant givers on the value of the grant regarding traffic.
