Subscribe to reaction instead of article

Is it possible to implement a feature for a user to subscribe to an reaction instead of the whole article? Currently if a user comments on an article and a admin responds to the user the user gets a mail. But if another user responds to that same article as a new comment everyone also gets an e-mail.
