Apply discount to ticket instead of to subscription

Example:
I have an event where I want to give a certain amount of tickets (example: 50 tickets) free of charge. But: users should still be able to order 2 tickets with one form because there are a lot of couples and it doesn't make sense to have them fill out the order form twice.

With the current options (either using coupons in the event or using discounts option), coupon code is always applied to number of subscriptions. So worst case scenario with 50 couples ordering tickets I should give out 100 tickets for free. It would be great if there was a setting to apply discount per ticket.
