Exporting Zip code field to CSV drops the first 0 14 years 6 months ago #11733

Hey guys, I am using REV33 of RSFORMPRO, when exporting the form (which includes a ZIP code field) the zipcodes that begin with 0 get dropped when exported to CSV. This is presenting a problem for our shipping provider.

How can this be fixed?

Hello,

Are you by any chance using Excel in order to view your CSV files? If this is the case then please note that the leading 0 is being removed by the program itself before the field is displayed. You can refer to the following article regarding this topic:

creativyst.com/Doc/Articles/CSV/CSV01.htm#CSVAndExcel

...just search for "Excel vs. Leading Zero & Space". Please try viewing your CSV file in a normal text editor, the leading 0 should be displayed correctly.
