I have created my own custom layout for a form I have created. The form is using the reCaptcha plugin and PayPal plugin. When hitting submit the form flashes and then returns to the same state it was in prior to hitting submit. Validation runs and PayPal totals the selections but the form never submits. All data entered remains in their fields aside for the reCaptcha response which disappears as the image refreshes.

If I revert back to an auto-generated layout the problem goes away and the form functions as it should. All default themes work fine when the layout is auto-generated. I have tried to make sure I ONLY changed the form field layout code and nothing pertinent to the operation of the form (such as the first lines that need to stay in the XML layouts). All my edits have started with the first li tag and ended with the last li closing tag.

My layout does not use all of the form field parameters however. Are all 4 required for proper form operation? I do my own text lables/captions in the layout so I only use the body and validation tags. Are the description and caption tags required for proper form operation? Is there something else I need to add to make the form function with a custom layout?

As stated my custom layout loads fine, looks fine, validation works and PayPal totals up it's fields properly - the form just doesn't submit.

Any advice?
