TOPIC: Latest Upgrade Breaks Existing Forms

Latest Upgrade Breaks Existing Forms 13 years 9 months ago #14155

Hi There -

I recently installed the RsForm upgrade and my existing forms no longer display on the frontend. The submissions and component are still there - however when I try and save a form I get a long MySQL error for each of the form fields.

I turned on bug reporting and I also get a MySQL error when editing a form.

"mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource"

Please advise - we are currently using these forms live on our site and I would like to minimize downtime as much as possible.

Thank you,
- Aaron

The num_rows error also shows this:

/libraries/joomla/database/database/mysql.php on line 344

Why would RsForm Pro be having issues playing with Joomla core files?

TableRSForm_Forms::store failed - Unknown column 'Keepdata' in 'field list' SQL=UPDATE `jos_rsform_forms` SET `FormName`='Art Outside 2011 - Visual Artist Application',`FormLayout`='
{global:formtitle}
.. WHERE FormId='12'

Hello,

Please try downloading RSForm! Pro again from our site and install it over your current installation of the component. This will act as an update for RSForm! Pro.

Let me know.

Hello,

Please make sure that the following folders and its subfolders/files are writable:
administrator/components/com_rsform
components/com_rsform

From what I see it seems that the installation file has not been overwritten and the installer is trying to run the old installation file.

Regards!

I am having the exact same issue with the update. Files are writable, reinstalling gives this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function rsparse_mysql_dump() in /home1/mercurya/public_html/2009/administrator/components/com_rsform/install.rsform.php on line 32

We are also using forms live on site, they are no longer appearing and we are losing leads = $

UPDATE: MANUALLY UNINSTALLED component, reinstalled. All is well.
