Hello,
I've just bough RS Form Pro and installed it to my site.

I was expecting that the email I get will include the whole submission data + attachments.
But all I got was an email that says:
You have a new submission

Is there a way to Receive Full Submissions & Attachments Via Email?

Thanks a lot.

RSForms Pro comes with a standard set up. It's up to each admin to set up the form to email the values of the entries. Here is an example of what a user/admin email might look like for a form that asks users to send in event ideas. This data is placed in the Properties>Admin Email>Edit the Email Text
Date: {Date:value}

Last Name: {LastName:value}
First Name: {FirstName:value}
Address: {Address:value}
City: {City:value}
State/Province: {StateProvince:value}
Zip: {Zip:value}
Email: {Email:value}
Phone: {Phone:value}
Type of Event: {TypeofEvent:value}
Specify Below: {SpecifyBelow:value}
Event Name: {EventName:value}
Location: {Location:value}

Add in the components that you want to see, format them (bold etc), put in tables... it's up to you how to display the data.

You will find a very good document on how to set up emails at:
www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...ticle/74-emails.html
They also have some videos on the subject in RSJoomla Video Tutorials.

That's a relief, thank you!
One last question, how do I have it send the attachments via email too?

Regards.

Just add that component name and value like any other component. For example, if you used the File Upload component and named it UploadA then you'd put in {UploadA:caption}{UploadA:value}
Or you could leave out the caption call and put in any other lead in text. The choice is yours.
All of the component names/values for the form can be found by pressing the Toggle Quick Add button when you are on the Properties page.

1. Thank you. :)
But this is no what I want.
What you suggest gave me a link to the server, and I was able to download the attachments.
I want a real copy of the attachments to be sent to my email, this works as a backup.
Plus, I can preview them via google docs without worrying about the server thing. Also forward it to other people which looks more professional and confidential.

I do hope these is a way to have the files come with the email message as full independent attachments.

2. Another thing.
I added a hidden field "username" because I want to know who's sending what.
Last Name: {username:value}
But this part came empty in the email, although the users is logged in when sending the form.

You should probably put in a ticket if you can't find what you need in the documentation and Video Tutorials. Or maybe someone else will come up with a solution.

If you do put in a ticket and get your answer, please post it here to share with other forum members. The more help/answers that get posted here, the better the forms out there look.

Has there been an answer to this or did you find a way to do this?
I've been trying to accomplish the exact same thing :)
Thanks!
