I have an (appointment) form added to a joomla 2.5.4 website that only registered users can access. So far so good. Now, when the logged in user is sending the form, I want to add some specific user data (like name, surname) to the form automatically. I dont want to ask the user to fill in this info again, because he has already registered. I use a custom registration form via RSform registration plugin.

Now it is possible, this is also documented on the website of RSform, the get the name and e-mail address of the person who is logged in (basic Joomla user data), but I would like more information to add automatically to the form, like surname, phone number, etc.

Has anyone ever had the same issue and knows a solution?

It's possible when you have a extension which saves these information and if you use it as the main user account system like ExtendedReg.
Joomla! does not have fields for this kind of information.
