TOPIC: Empty emails

Empty emails 12 years 7 months ago #19084

Hi

I've got a couple of forms and they are sending the user and admin emails - the user email uses the Value:Email for the reply email and that's getting through - so I know that is working at one level.

However, the admin emails come and there is no content.. .the first line "Youi have received a nwee inquiry"! - that gets through... but then rest of the form is blank - none of the dynamic fields are filled in, nor is the last line

"good Luck"

any clues??

Thanks

Have you tried duplicating the User email code into the Admin area and seeing what happens when the form is submitted?
I'd copy what's in the Admin section now to Notepad, then copy the User email set up into Admin and test the form out. It might give you a place to start looking if it still doesn't work.

If you have multiple languages on your site, check that you have email content in all languages.

Hi - thanks for the replies....

I have multiple languages but have different forms - one for English , one for Spanish - then in the module that holds the form the form ID is changed in the translation version - this is working OK - the different forms appear and the different submissions are recorded.

but in both cases the placeholder info is not being sent.

The placeholders are working - because the user email placeholder is sending the confirmation email to the user - so it's not the placeholder per se.

I'm not sure how the placeholders work - I'm assuming it's some kind of script - so is there anything the mail server could be doing to block these values?

Thanks
