Hi,

I want to use a Textbox instead of the Calendar as some people seem unable to figure out how to scroll through years in your calendar )even after I add a Description telling them how.

But this then means I need to limit the Textbox to a single format. Specifically:

dd/mm/yyyy

How do I force users to use the above format?

Thanks,
Dom

Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

Many thanks,
Dom

Hi,
You might look in to Regex as a validation type and use that to make users enter the data correctly. I'm not a programmer, but from reading about it, it might work.

Or you could add a tool tip showing the format required. It might help. Also there is the description portion of the form if that look works for your form.

I've also seen some references to having text in the box that shows the format and is deleted when the user types in the data they want. Search the forum or the documentation (I think I saw it there).

Good Luck,
K
