TOPIC: Actual attachment in email instead of link?

Actual attachment in email instead of link? 12 years 5 months ago #20019

Can someone please, please tell me that it is possible to have an admin email that includes all submission data, plus the *actual* attachment people send, rather than just a link to it? This is critical for me asI have a system that gets this pushed to a custom script that parses the attachment data for a database. I have no knowledge of custom scripting and have invested much time getting the RSformsPro software working thus far.

Thanks if you can help!

Steve

This is easy - go to your upload field, click on the "Attributes" tab and you'll see a field named "Attach file to". Select "Admin email" and that's it.

Hi Octavian, thanks but this doesn't seem to have the desired effect.

If I go to my 'file upload field', then 'check attributes' - 'Admin email' is already in there. When I try to do a test form submission with an attached file, then check my admin email, I have the emailed form with all the data, but instead of the attached file, I have a clickable link to the uploaded file which I can see from the file path is being accessed from my hosted Joomla! install. Not the file itself - just a link to the file!

I want the *actual* file to be attached to my admin email. What am I doing wrong?! Thansk! Steve

The option I'm talking about does just that - it attaches the file to the Admin Email. Please submit a support ticket and provide access to your website so that we can take a look.

Forgot to mention that "Admin Email" needs to be selected for this to work.
