TOPIC: Client wants form results to look like online form

Client wants form results to look like online form 12 years 4 months ago #20256

Can RSForms be set up so that the emailed results of the form can look like a real filled-in application?

In other words he has a physical (paper) membership form. He wants the online version to look just like it after it is filled out and emailed to him (my client). Just like filling in an online PDF and the printing it.
Can we do that?

Thank you very Much,
Randy

Hello there,
This can be accomplished by formatting your Administrator email and/or User email using standard HTML and simply including the tags within the cells of that table.

First create your table to mimic the printed view using DreamWeaver or some other HTML editor.
Make sure to title each field as you would within the Application.

Then copy and paste that HTML code into your Admin email window using the code editor version.
Switch back to WSIWYG mode, and copy and paste the appropriate parts into each of this field.

Make sure to give each font a specific Point size. (example: 12 point font)
Hope this helps.

Yes, at first it wasn't clear to me. I made a form in Dreamweaver, then changed the field names to match the filed names RSForms. But then I saw that it's not just the field name but the entire code for the name.

{fname:value} is what I needed and not "fieldname=fname"

Now I am just trying to do the layout to make it look nice.

Thank you very much for the help.
