Can someone point me in a direction to populate a form with the data of a prior partially completed form?

My environment is this.

A user logs into his/her joomla account.

He/she partially completes a form. They then log out.

They later come back. I would like to give them the option of restoring their prior form.

I know the data of that form exists in the MySQL database.

Can someone point me in a direction?
