I would like to have a form to allow registration of a new user and assign the Virtuemart shopper groups at the same time. Is it possible in the Joomla User Registration form plugin that you have for RS Forms Pro to also set the virtuemart shopper group that this user should be assigned to?

This could be achieved with the help of custom scripting. You could try adding a custom SQL query that sets the Virtuemart user group in the correct database table for the newly created user. A similar example on this topic can be found here:

For this to work you will need a good understanding on how the Virtuemart shopping groups are stored in the database.
