Suite CRM is based on SugarCRM so you could probably just use the code from your vTiger CRM.
In my opinion SuiteCRM is cleaner, easier to install and they support Joomla! They have a portal plugin but to be able to collect email addresses from a form would be awesome.  suitecrm.com/download/suitecrm-joomla-plug-in |
