TOPIC: Making a group of fields conditional on ONE field

Making a group of fields conditional on ONE field 6 years 3 weeks ago #39024

Hi folks,
Is there a way to make a set of forms elements hide / display on just one condition?
eg if I have one radio button field requesting "Internal / External?", and I have a number of separate (different) elements required for either the 'Internal' or 'External' depending on user selection in this radio button.

I know I can make EACH individual field conditional on the reply to "Internal / External?", but that would mean a LOT of individual conditions in the form.

Can I just show ALL the 'Internal' fields or 'External' fields according to the single main response to the "Internal / External?" radio button field

thanks,
Mike

Not that i know of, you might be better creating two forms and using the radio button in a third to redirect to one of the others depending on the choice. I know it means some duplication of email content etc but there's a 'how to redirect' here:

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, then you obviously don't understand the situation!

Thanks iceferret, that was a great tip........ I will get to grips with it soon, but in the meantime, I might stay with the 'old fashioned' method of lumping everything into the one form and making all the various elements conditional... at least then, they are all in the one place (form).
