I have installed the Joomla! User Registration Plugin. It all seems to work fine except it doesn't send the verification email to the user as does the default Joomla! registration process.

I'm currently using the default which does send an email verification email to the user prior to send admin the Approval email. Should I be able to do this with this plugin?

I'm having issues with this plugin too, in that I don't want the user's registration to become active immediately but for it to be activated by an admin, and that's how I've set Joomla! to behave. But the plugin bypasses the approval and makes the user active right away, presumably because it's effectively submitting the registration as an admin. So I haven't got an answer for your problem, unfortunately, but I'm wondering whether you cracked it yourself and can shed some light on my issue.

Oh no- wait! Just realised that the plugin has its own settings under 'Form properties', and the parameters I want are set there. I am clearly an idiot for not finding that in the first place  .
