TOPIC: Edit submissions in front end

Edit submissions in front end 4 years 2 months ago #40947

Hi,

We have a form that generates a PDF document once user answered form 1
We make the user sign this document and want to upload this to the form 1 submissions.

What would be the best way to acomplish this goal ?

Editing the same form in front end ?
having a second form "form 2" that is able to acces submissions from form 1 ?

is there a plugin or component that give the ability to edit existing submissions from front end ?

Kind regards

Hello,

Would having the user sign the initial submission not be enough? RSForm!Pro provides a Digital Signature plugin that can help with this:
www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...ignature-plugin.html

You do not need an extra plugin in order to edit submissions in the front-end, this is done through the RSForm!Pro Submissions Directory menu item:
www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...ctory-menu-item.html

If the desired scenario requires the user to sign the submission at a different time, then you could try using a second form for receiving the signature using the above plugin and display the information submitted in your first form for the user to review. An example on this topic can be found here:
www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...-different-form.html

Hi thanks for reply,

I try to go through the documentation you provided but there are some points that are not well explained

in the tutorial : www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...-different-form.html

Step 2: Point to the second form

The second thing you need to do is create a link in your first form that will point to the second form. This link will need to contain an additional parameter that will contain the unique sequence generated in the hidden field(more information regarding sending and capturing parameters from the url can be found here), for example:

www.your-site-name.com/index.php?option=...-id&hash={hash:value}

How can i create a link in my firs form ?

Kind regards

Hi there, I love the new back-end "page builder". I cannot find the Digital Signature plugin in the downloads area. I tried all links on this thread and still can't see it.

Thanks!
Mary
