Have had a form working for years and now the admin email from *email doesn't work with the {email:value} in the form.

I have had to put a valid email address in from email so it will send.

It sends the users email find with the {email:value} in the recipient email but not from email in the admin.

I am running version RSForm! Pro 3.0.17

Hello,

This isn't something that has changed within RSForm!Pro since it doesn't impose such mailing limitations, nor is it something you can control from (RSForm!Pro being simply designed to use the Joomla! framework to send out emails through your Joomla! configured mailer).

You were basically trying to send an email on behalf of another account (since you were using the email placeholder of your form within the "FROM" email address) which most mailers won't allow and if they do various issues may arise.

In your case use a FROM email that is accepted by your mailer, or simply use the same mailer address that is configured in your Joomla! Global Configuration mailer settings; and if you want to reply to the form's submitter (from the received Admin Email), then simply add the {email:value} placeholder of your form within the "Reply To" field instead.

Various other troubleshooting steps for this particular error can be found in this article.

I have read through the articles and worked through all of the various troubleshooting issues to no avail.

I am using the same form I have used for years. All I did was change the dates in my text for the current year.
