TOPIC: "Selectize" form field to have inputmode="numeric"

"Selectize" form field to have inputmode="numeric" 2 years 6 months ago #42301

I've tried to set the inputmode="numeric" for this one (my forms are used mostly be cell phones). It still brings up full keyboard. Anyone else out there have any other ideas?

Hello,

Can you please elaborate this topic? if you're referring at the 'Selectize' field from the Advanced Form Fields plugin, note that this is actually a dropdow type of field. I'm however unsure why you're not using the regular Textbox and a numeric validation rule, if you're using the field to retrieve phone numbers.

Not used FOR cell numbers, the form is used primarily on cell phones - so the cell phone display is smaller than a PC.

What I am doing with this dropdown on form load is a DB read. My items are like this

S01-2002
S03-2345
S01-2543
etc.....

The first 4 characters are irrelevant in my search so my users just search for the last 4 numbers (they are all unique). So I thought "Selectize" advanced field would work.... since users are only searching for the numbers, the numeric keyboard by default when you click into this field is ideal.
