We have an existing application built on Cobalt 8 (MintJoomla J3) that we need to duplicate on J4/5, and wondering whether RSForms can do it.

The present app (a vehicle registry) allows a user to enter data through a front-end form, which then gets approved for publishing by an admin after which only the user or the admin can edit the form. After approval, the data is displayed to registered users by selecting a year, which lists a summary and photo of all the entries for that year in order by one of the form fields. Clicking on one of the list items brings up the details for that entry. If the user is the author or admin, they can edit from there.

We presently have 2000 vehicles in the registry which we'd like to upload to the form's database tables/fields.

We are hoping that the form fields can be Joomla Custom Fields so that we can offer several views into the data.

We will also want to run a PHP program that takes the first item in the form and populates a dozen or so non-editable fields.

I expect that we'll need a theme that can access custom fields to handle the front end display.
