I have installed the regular version and corrected all permissions but all I get is two button in the back-end which do nothing.

I then installed the Pro version which then displays a blank screen after installation and when I choose RSform Pro from the component menu.

I am running version 1.5.8 of Joomla.

Any Ideas?

Hello,

RSForm! Pro works fine with Joomla! 1.5.8. We have tested it ourselves. What you are experiencing could be because of your server configuration. Although we try our best to make it as compatible as possible, these situations sometimes occur. You can submit a ticket and let us know so that we can improve our product and hopefully get it working on your machine.

Hi there,

i've got the same issue and it looks not like a server misconfiguration.

That is, what i get written to the servers log:

Install:
PHP Fatal error: Class 'RSadapter' not found in /var/www/cms/joomla/1.5/administrator/components/com_rsform/install.rsform.php on line 15

Admin:
PHP Fatal error: Class 'RSadapter' not found in /var/www/cms/joomla/1.5/administrator/components/com_rsform/toolbar.rsform.html.php on line 13

Uninstall:
PHP Fatal error: Class 'RSadapter' not found in /var/www/cms/joomla/1.5/administrator/components/com_rsform/uninstall.rsform.php on line 16

The system is an CentOS 5, Apache 2, PHP 5 (most current), MySQL 5 Server. Joomla has Version 1.5.7

And now i am \"not amused\" because i wasted time, had to delete it manually and i am asking why i should pay for an professional component, when it fails during trial install and there is now public support for this issue in the forum available.
Ask yourself: Would you pay for that? I guess the answer is \"No\".

Any application may have some bugs. That's unfortunately nothing special. But if you want to get money from customers and if you provide a trial, you should give as much information as possible to any potential custmer *without* forced registration, without stupid ticketing - just for free, because it's no feature request, no special problem, but it seems to be a generall issue with that trial version.

Why?

If you try the fllowing, after unpacking the archive, you will find out, that there is no RSadapter class within the components archive. And this is not the problem of the Trial-Downloaders but it seems that something went wron during packaging.

Try it:
grep -ir \"RSadapter\" *

Woooha...... This eliminates the so loved hint to missing \"short open tag\" option in PHP. (An of course: Anyone who tels me to do that will receive a: Clean up your code !)

So please, check the archive and either include the missing stuff or submit some kind of a hind what may be wrong.

Regards,

John Jane Doe

PS: Sorry for my hard words - but i am angry if something commercial wastes my time and if i am forced to register to get something which is mainly in the interest of the provider who wants my best: My Money. And of course, what you wrote here has not really any value for those who are searching for a solution.<br><br>Post edited by: john_jane_doe, at: 2008/12/16 18:50

I am using IIS and I am having this issue when installing.

When I click RSformPro under components I get the following:
Error in my_thread_global_end(): 1 threads didn't exit PHP Fatal error: Class 'RSadapter' not found in C:\pathtoadminfolder\administrator\components\com_rsform\toolbar.rsform.html.php on line 13

Can someone tell me how to do a \"manual uninstall\" of RSFormPro (Tryout) please?

I'm using 1.5.8 and when I installed got a blank screen with \"Done\" at the BLHC - in the Component list \"RSFormPro\" is listed but clicking gives the same blank screen, using the Uninstall Component feature also fails with a blank screen.

All I want to do is take it out (the slight upside is that it doesn't seem to be doing any harm)

Rob
