TOPIC: Need help: formatting email output

Need help: formatting email output 16 years 4 months ago #5863

I'm new at this... I've got a form with several multiple-choice item. Using checkboxes. In the email output, RSFormPro simply lists each checked item one after another, with no separators. I'd like to add a comma & space, or semi-colon & space, or line return after each choice. Here's what the output looks like:

2_Design
Walk-in closets Double sinks in master bathroom Eat-in kitchen Deluxe kitchen appliances Deluxe kitchen counters, such as Corian or granite Open floor plan Second bathroom Balcony or patio kitchen pantry Computer nook No opinion

It would be nice to format like this:

2_Design
Walk-in closets; Double sinks in master bathroom; Eat-in kitchen; Deluxe kitchen appliances; Deluxe kitchen counters, such as Corian or granite; Open floor plan; Second bathroom; Balcony or patio; Kitchen pantry; Computer nook; No opinion

Anyone know how I can add separators between multiple choice items???

Post edited by: artshotwell, at: 2008/12/06 19:57

I could use this feature too. Will it be included in the next release?

Thanks

I also vote for an easier way to do it.

I had to jury-rig it by putting the separator into the actual list. So I would have something along these lines:

That's an intriguing idea... I've been on vacation... but I intend to pursue this and will post any advances here.
