Hi,
when I want to use the placeholder {email:caption}:{email:value} in the FROM field and {Name:caption}:{Name:value} in the FROM NAME field of the USER EMAILS, the eMail is not sent, instead I get this error message:
Notice * Could not instantiate mail function.

If I just fill out these fields with whatever text, then it works.

Anybody an idea, how to solve that problem?

Cheers

Hello,

The From field should only be used with placeholders that contain email addresses and nothing else.

Unfortunately that is not working. When i insert {email:value} into the from field, I get the error message as described above :(

Hi!

I just tested to in the FROM field enter {email:value} and in the FROM NAME field enter {Name:value}. And it worked for me to send email and recive one as well.

So RSForm! Pro can handle placeholders this way.

Regards
Matt

Hello,

Of course they work. The user probably used different names - the text field that contained the email was named "Email" and he tried to use {email:value}. This is a common mistake.

There's nothing wrong in the code of RSForm! Pro. It just works, if you use it correctly. Please make sure placeholders have the correct names. {Email:value} is different than {email:value} or {eMail:value}, and so on.

If you still have issues, submit a ticket and we'll take a look.
