TOPIC: Multi-part Form wierdness

Multi-part Form wierdness 16 years 3 weeks ago #6979

Hi,

I've looked at the sample multi-part form. The key is the form layout. I did run into a validation issue. When a person is submitting the parts of the form no validation is being performed. However when they finally get to the end and submit validation is applied. However since it is a multi-part form if the error was on any other page than page 1 like page 2 or page 3 then it simply looks like the form did not submit. No messages are displayed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to have the validation functions run when the navigation buttons are clicked?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

I'm replying to myself.

Does anyone know if a multi-art form and display the un-paged version on error. It looks like the paging is based on table ID. Maybe there is a way to show the entire form on error so the user can see the validation error.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

Is it possible to have an if statement in the form layout for conditional part in the form layout e.g. if {Page 1:validation} exists display some stuff?
