I'm not we'll versed in MySQL so using the mapping plugin isn't that clear to me. I checked out the mapping documentation but it didn't help much. I think I can get through it with a little help though.

Here's what I'd like to do.

I have three forms that all collect at least three components/fields that are the same.

1) {first_name}
2) {last_name}
3) {email}

The three forms are

1) Contact
2) Volunteer
3) Member/Donor

I'd like to map these three components from these three forms to a fourth table called 'index' or something like that.

How can I use the mapping plugin to send these three variables to the 'index' table?

END GOAL (and a separate question)
I want to be able to check the three components against the 'index' table and render it all on one page. I hope to do this with the loadposition plugin, I'll post this question in another post.

Thanks
Rich

Hello ,

I will give you an example for the form Contact . When accessing the form go to Mappings tab and then select first_name , select the table 'index' (this table has to be already created) , and last select the column in which the data will map.

Regards!

Bogdan,
Thanks for helping out but I still don't understand.

I understand the part about selecting a component to map. What I don't know is how to select the 'index" table.

I created a form called 'index' in RSForm Pro, I assume this creates a table that I can map to?

here are my options to map to now

jos_rsform_component_type_fields
jos_rsform_component_type
jos_rsform_components
jos_rsform_config
jos_rsform_forms
jos_rsform_mappings
jos_rsform_properties
jos_rsform_show_form
jos_rsform_submission_values
jos_rsform_submissions

Seems like I'd want to map to one of these things but I don't see the table 'index'.

Please help.

Thanks

Hello,

Try updating to the latest version of RSForm! Pro (rev 24). After you have updated to the latest version note that you will have to reinstall the mappings plug-in.

Hi

I am also struggling with the mappring tool, but have figured out how to do it.
But I get the error 'Duplicate entry '' for key 1' no matter where I try to map a field submitted by RSForm.

Any thoughts ?
