TOPIC: editing/adding to form content after submission?

editing/adding to form content after submission? 15 years 6 months ago #8567

I use rs forms on a charity dog rescue website. People submit applications to adopt a dog. Before we adopt out a dog, there are a number of steps we take (home visit, checking veterinarian referrals, etc). I'd like the ability to add "comments" to the form so we could track what had been down on each application.

If I had a hidden "comment" field, is there any plugin or enhancement that would allow me to edit the content in that hidden field of submitted forms? It would make keeping tracking of the workflow for each dog adopation a lot easier.

The mod_rsformlist module/plugin lets me view submissions, but not edit the content.

Hello,

You can add a Hidden Field named "Comments" in your form. When the user submits the form the Hidden Field will be, by default, empty. When you wish to add a comment to the respective submission you can go to RSForm! Pro > Manage Submissions > choose the form which submissions you wish to edit an search for the respective submission. After you have found the submission you can click on the "Edit" button (in the right of the form under the Actions column) and now you will be able to edit the respective submission, so you will be able to add what comments you wish in the "Comments" field.
