I created a small form to upload files & put it in a content item using the mambot.

I tested it to upload image files & it worked great.

I changed it because my customer wants his his customers to upload .cdf files. These are binary files his custom written software Cam Pro Plus outputs (something to do with engine testing). I have never heard of a .cdf file before but I went to the MIME Types table & found references to .cdf files.

The form can be viewed here www.speedresource.net/index.php?option=c...id=61&Itemid=164

I put the following code in the default value

application/cdf,application/x-cdf,application/x-netcdf

The files he sent me to test with have a .cdf extension.

Can you tell me why I am unable to upload the .cdf files?

The error message I get is \"This file format is not allowed for upload.\"

Alex,

I added the following values to the default values for the file upload field as you instructed in your email.

application/cdf,application/x-cdf,application/x-netcdf,application/octet-stream

The upload now works like a champ! :)

Thanks so much for a great extension and helping me with customizing the form for my customer who wanted to be able to upload such an odd file format.
