TOPIC: Adding value1 result to email from select field

Adding value1 result to email from select field 17 years 2 months ago #1734

Hi,
This is probably easy but I'm drawing a blank.

I have a select field called \"Class of Business\" with 3 values ( value1|IT Consultant, value2|IT Staffing, value3|Other).

If the person filling the form say chooses the first value in the dropdown when I receive the email results from the form that contains this field I get:

Class of Business : value1

My question is how do I get it to list the description of 'value1' in the email results rather than the variable chosen?

I want the email to say

Class of Business: IT Consultant , if they choose value1 in the dropdown.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

LOL, think about what you did.

Here is the syntax:

Put this into the Default Value box.

---|---Select One---,IT Consultant|IT Consultant,IT Staffing|IT Staffing,Other|Other

What you will get is this:
--- Select One ---
IT Consultant
IT Staffing
Other

The format is this:
Result you want emailed | Label , Result emailed| Label 2

You see what you did? That's ok, I did it too. That's how I figured it out.

No problem.

As I said, I did the same thing.

I've actually figured out a lot of tricks with the component. Take a look at the sample form I designed in the other topic, Using Divs instead.
