When i attach a file and hit submit i get this error:
Illegal variable _files or _env or _get or _post or _cookie or _server or _session or globals passed to script.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Can you tell me what version of Joomla you are using, and what type of document you are trying to upload?

1.0.12 and i was trying to upload a zip file

OK. I saw that error on other joomla forums, so i have to check what's it about. Also make sure you add application/zip to the Default Value of the file upload field

Could be that you did not change the rights to 777 for the upload folder...?
