TOPIC: Cron Jobs with Jnews getting blocked by RSFirewall

Cron Jobs with Jnews getting blocked by RSFirewall 13 years 4 months ago #15687

Hi, I am trying to setup a cron job with JNews to send out daily emails. The job works fine if I manually enter the URL but if I leave it to run I get a "No such file or directory" error even though I know the URL is correct as it runs the cron if I manually go to the url.

I found on another forum that this may be to do with the DoS protection setting in RSFirewall but I do not want to turn this off as it is protecting flooding attacks! Can you please let me know if this is likely to be the cause and if there is an alternative to turning this off if this is the case?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You can consider test disabling the option "Protect against DoS attacks" option from RSFirewall! > Firewall Configuration > RSFirewall! Active Scanner and test this again.

If the problem persists, then this is not caused by the given protection from RSFirewall!.
