TOPIC: Additional backend password

Additional backend password 13 years 3 months ago #15943

Hi,

We have RSFirewall installed and are considering enabling the additional backend password. But I just wanted to check - if anything went wrong with this, preventing you from getting to the login page for admin, is there any solution or would you be totally locked out of your site?

Many thanks,

Steve

Hello :) ,

If this has occurred you will have to perform some database modifications in order to remove the password. To do this you will have to use phpMyAdmin or something similar that permits access to your site database.
If you are using phpMyAdmin just edit the _rsfirewall_configuration, set the backend_password_enabled field to 0 and empty the backend_password field.
