On localhost, my website have Joomla 2.5.8 and RSFirewall! 1.4.0 rev 43.
I have difficulties installing the latest version of RSFirewall.
I also tried updating from within Joomla Admin panel - but no success!

I get the following error message;

"The installer cannot continue until file uploads are enabled for the server."
"Unable to find install package"

Please help!
The administrator has disabled public write access.

To enable file upload, it's actually available in the guide.

First, solve the problem. Then, write the code.

I ran into a problem whereby the update installation just would hang up and never complete. The problem was I needed to update the address of the website in my license. When I originally installed RSFirewall, my website was still using the IP address. Later, after I pointed the actual domain to the website — I forgot to update the address in my RS Firewall account. Just mentioning in case anyone else has this problem.
