I just upgraded RSFirewall and now the System Lockdown feature is not available.

Has it moved or is there an alternative to locking the site?

Indeed, it think it was removed. Have you created a support ticket on this already?
First, solve the problem. Then, write the code.

I'm pretty sure it was moved and renamed.

Firewall Configuration>>Access Scanner>>Disable access to the Joomla! installer (all the way at the bottom)

makes no sense to me because this is the one thing I turn on and off the most.

There was a blog post announcing these changes and the reasons behind them:
The Lockdown has now been split into three separate options thus providing more control:
  • The ability to protect super-users from any changes that can happen to them.
  • Disallow further installing of any kind by disabling the Joomla! installer.
  • Disabling the creation of new Administrators by deleting the accounts as soon as they are created.

Hate that these features are at the bottom of the active scanner tab and not on their own main tab as they used to be. As an admin, I turn these features on and off quite often and it is harder to do now.
