TOPIC: Installation Error

When I install the RSFirewall component package (downloaded just now), I get the following error:

Warning: Failed to move file!

Please help me as I m also getting the same error while installing RSForm! Pro.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

This is generated because of read / write permission issue set on the installation folders. This is not being generated by the component installers.

Please make sure that you have enough read / write permissions as explained here:

I checked again but the settings were ok and that all other extensions can be installed without error. This error comes with RSFirewall and RSForm Pro only.

Please help as I m unable to update these components.

You'll have to submit a support ticket so that we can help you (this is an issue with your own server / Joomla! installation).

You can also take a look at this link: Why can't you install any extensions?, which explains that "Warning! Failed to move file." means that your Joomla! temporary folder is unwritable (or missing), thus you can't install ANY extensions.

I have exactly the same error. All other extensions can be installed without an error.
