TOPIC: Change name or password on admin does stay changed

Change name or password on admin does stay changed 11 years 2 months ago #26311

Hi,

Im using the latest Joomla 3 and RSFirewall.

- Have the admin locked from changes
- Remove the protection
- Edit the admin name (or password) and "save & close"
- Applying the protection, again
- Logout
- When trying to login again, the password or username is incorrect!

How do I get around this problem?
Need to do this, because I set a VERY strong password to the admin-account.
Its great to have a really strong password, but I need to access my Joomla when Im mobile.

I ran into this. I think I had to disable the RSFirewall! protection against changing the administrator's password and then log out of the backend completely. Then log back in and change your password. I notice this needs to happen with other RSFirewall! changes that I make sometimes that don't seem to initially take.

I am having this issue right now. Have disabled rsfirewall.php (renamed to rsfirewall.php.bak) gone in to make changes and all works (log out, log in) and then it still reverts my admin name back after renaming rsfirewall.php back again.

I'm going in circles! :silly:
