I am reaching at straws here, but I am having issues uploading files of > 2M on my site. I have RSFirewall installed on Joomla! 3.1.5. I have a simple upload form that gives me a PHP error = 1 if I try to upload anything larger than 2M. I have looked at my php.ini file through my hosting providers CPanel. It is set to a max of 20MB. My file manager in Joomla! is also set to a max of 20M. Then I started thinking about the active scanner in the firewall. I have an exception set for my form. Has anyone see the firewall cause max file upload issues? Just a wild ass guess. Let me know. Thanks.

Hello,

RSFirewall! does not impose any restrictions regarding file size. You can disable the active scanner by disabling the "System - RSFirewall! Active Scanner" plugin(via Plug-in Manager), afterwards test this again.

Thank you for your response. I contacted my hosting provider. They pointed me to a php.ini file in my public_html folder. It did not have max_upload size specified so it was defaulting everything to 2M. I deleted that file (because it is actually an extra file and not the main php.ini) and everything works fine now. I didn't manually create that file. The only thing I can think of is that when I did a system check with the RSFirewall component, it created the file as a "fix". I will run a check again and then discuss the findings with my hosting provider since they control the real PHP config. Thanks again for answering!
