TOPIC: There was an error uploading this file to the serv

There was an error uploading this file to the serv 10 years 6 months ago #29107

I have been attempting to upload 2.7.0 but I get the same error each time "There was an error uploading this file to the server."

Multiple computers and multiple locations...same result.

You have a upload_max_filesize set to 2M (can be seen from System > System Information > PHP Information). The RSFirewall! package is above that limit. Please increase it to a higher value, such as 8M (ask your hosting provider for details on how to do that).

All of my settings are at 20MB (have been for a while because I upload a lot of music and video files)...same error message on two websites.

Then please make sure that your Joomla! temporary folder is writable (System > System Information > Directory Permissions > scroll below for 'Temp directory') and that you can install other extensions (you can attempt to install RSTester!)

Also just tried installing the RS Tester and that installs fine and tells me my site is compatible with RS Firewall but still version 2.7 won't install

Still no joy.

I don't understand how I've managed to install loads of updates for RSFirewall over the past year or more but suddenly version 2.7.0 won't update and nothing else has changed on my server and I have a upload_max_filesize of 100MB

I am having the same issue. all other RS updates worked fine, but the firewall update will not install.

I can install any other extension but this one.
