I have set a Membership with a fixed expiry date of 1/1/2014, then I purchased the membership and it shows my expiry date as 1/1/2013 ? Any idea what the problem might be?

Also where can I get some tips on how to understand and manage the 'changing user types' feature so that I can avoid locking myself out as a Super Admin. For example if a user is in several user groups does it wipe out all user groups when they become inactive or just the user groups that are specified. Some help in this area would be appreciated.
