So I've gotten my event set up with RSEvents, it works great!

So...the person purchases a ticket and they are then issued a ticket + barcode once they've paid. We've got a pretty large event (10k+ expected) so reading tickets and checking the validity of them is imperative.

don't know the answer to your question -- if you're using a smartphone (iphone) you may want to try looking for an app like RedLaser.

I have a question for you:

how are you getting the barcode onto the ticket? is it a unique code for each attendee/ticket?

Hi Oceansites,

I also have a few large events coming up. How do you manage to get the bar code info from RSEventsPro into your scanner software? I haven't been able to do this yet, making the barcodes unusable for admission purposes.

I managed to figure out how to get the barcode strings from my database (see here). I am now looking for good software to use with optical barcode scanners. Any ideas?

er.. not so sure about this , but you can check this barcode reader app,where you may find the using guide where maybe you can find whether available

I am also looking for a scan at the door solution. I've been using DT Register but looking for a change but need a validation solution.

I've come across this which looks promising. Please let me know if any of you have found a solution here.
