Where can I add code if I want to have a row inserted in a custom database table everytime I create a NEW event in the front-end, containing the name, starting date and id of that new event?

And if possible only execute if an added selectbox to the event details tab is ticked.

This should create the following scenario:
If a new event is being made in the fornt-end and the newly added checkbox "Create photogallery" in the Event Details tab is checked, there should be a row inserted in the photogallery table containing several datafields from the event (name, starting date and id).
This row should be inserted after the event is marked completed, so these data is available.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
