I am able to remove the end date successfully, but I have a different type of function I need.

I have two sets of events:
1. Single day, one show only
2. Multi day run, multiple performances

I want to avoid using recurring events.

I would like to have
1. No end date on the single show (Friday, February 22, 2013 at 8:00pm)

and

2. Start date to end date for a multi show run (Friday February 22, 2013 to Sunday, February 24, 2013)

Anyone have any ideas?
The administrator has disabled public write access.
