TOPIC: Problem with translation com_rseventspro.dates.ini

Problem with translation com_rseventspro.dates.ini 11 years 5 months ago #25489

I have the Finnish language installed, and in the dates.ini file the translation for 'November' is correct:

COM_RSEVENTSPRO_NOVEMBER="Marraskuu"

However, when looking at November dates in the frontend, the word is spelled 'Maaraskuu'. If I change the translation into anything else, the new translation is displayed in the frontend. But when I change it back to 'Marraskuu', the frontend displays 'Maaraskuu'. I don't get it! :angry:

Hello,

Besides the RSEvents!Pro placeholder "COM_RSEVENTSPRO_NOVEMBER", which is located under this path:

\language\fi-FI\fi-FI.com_rseventspro.dates.ini

There is also the Joomla! "NOVEMBER" placeholder from your Finnish language file:

\language\fi-FI\fi-FI.ini

You can try changing / checking if this placeholder also has the correct translation.

If this is not the case, please submit a customer support ticket directly as this cannot be resolved over the forum:

Yes, the term is correct in the fi_FI.ini file as well. What I find most odd is that when I replace the Finnish term in the RSEvents dates file with the English term 'November', the frontend shows 'Marember'.

Thanks, I will submit a support ticket.
