Hi, everyone!

I want to make the category and location optional for all events entries.

I've figured out how to remove the validation for both fields in the edit.php file, but even if I remove the validation, RSEvents still lists the event as "incomplete," so it won't appear on the calendar.

How can I disable those features?

I don't recommend doing this. Instead of removing the required functionality, you would be better of by setting a default value for them and hide those fields when creating a new event.
